With over 150 artists in his portfolio ranging from Lil Baby, Young Dolph, Rico Nasty, to underground artists in the Atlanta scene, Tucker Walls talks to us about his journey to becoming one of Atlanta’s most popular music photographers, all thanks to The Bakery.

Fifteen local artists spray painted murals to add art to South Downtown as a part of Atlanta Streets Alive. Rolling Down Peachtree was a collaboration between The Bakery and Cat Eye Creative. It gave artists an opportunity to create public art on the streets of Atlanta and bring splashes of vibrant color to the area while engaging with the community.
The Bakery’s contribution to Atlanta Streets Alive focuses on collaborative activities to promote art and community engagement through creativity. In 2019, The Bakery partnered with MARTA Artbound to install visually captivating road side seating at three different MARTA bus stops in Southwest Atlanta. HeartFELT, The Bakery’s activation for Atlanta Streets Alive 2023, was a collaborative DIY collage activity and photo booth.
Depths showcased work from multiple Atlanta artists that explored themes of growth, depth and metamorphosis
The 2024 South and Appalachian Creative Placemaking Summit opened with an examination of the juxtaposition of Atlanta as a modern city.
Time moves slower at Hambidge, as if there is more of it. It’s invaluable to not have to cook for yourself, keep up with housework, or run errands. This was my first residency and it gifted me lots of time to work, think, and grow.

The first notes of Hole’s full-throated, snarling anthem “Violet” blares over the speakers as I lean in closer to the wall to examine a colostomy bag filled with nails. My date and I don’t speak very much; instead, we’re both trying to process, internalize, and reflect on the art and vulnerability before us. “Rage Becomes Her” deserves nothing less.
