Experiment. Collaborate. Play.

The Bakery Atlanta is a collective of artists, curators, and administrators dedicated to offering alternative models to local creatives and the general public. We host and produce experiences that connect and inspire people through collaboration, experimentation, and play.

Working from a DIY ethos, The Bakery strives to holistically encourage creativity across mediums and disciplines. We do this through providing physical space, producing accessible public programming, and activating unconventional spaces. We are unified by the belief that art is pivotal to existence and that everyone should have opportunities to engage with art. Community building is at the core of what we do.

We are currently activating a gallery in South Downtown and are fundraising for a new space.

What We Do:

  • The Bakery Atlanta’s South Downtown Gallery offers a 1,000+ square foot white wall space for art exhibitions, community rentals, and small scale events.

  • From Downtown to Buckhead, from design to execution, The Bakery invents unique ways to encourage creativity throughout Atlanta.

  • Our gallery team has a robust knowledge of local artists and makers. We can curate anything from group exhibitions to night markets.

  • Our for hire team of artists and administrators are happy to consult on community projects, art activations, and creative placemaking.

  • Our team has produced hundreds of events in our 5 previous spaces and throughout the city. We can produce anything ranging from intimate experiences to large-scale music festivals.

  • The administrators of The Bakery Atlanta are proud to manage several resources for local creatives including a list of opportunities, an artist directory, AltGaze, and Grumpy’s Guide weekly listing.
