Rolling Down Peachtree: Spray Painting the Streets for Atlanta Streets Alive

Rolling Down Peachtree was a collaborative mural project curated by The Bakery Atlanta and Cat Eye Creative and facilitated by Two Tree Studios. This installation was a contribution to Atlanta Streets Alive presented by South Downtown ATL, City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs, A&E Atlanta, ATL DTN, and Councilman Jason Dozier’s office.

Atlanta Streets Alive is an open streets project that clears up swaths of the city for people to walk, bike, skate and engage in community events by taking cars out of the equation for an afternoon. They create routes through streets across several event days in an effort to bring the community together.

The Bakery and Cat Eye Creative curated fifteen local artists for this public art activation. “Rolling Down Peachtree” took over a whole South Downtown block by live painting 15 roll down doors, one store front, and a community spray paint wall on Peachtree Street.

Thank you to all the artists who spent the day bringing new color, designs, and visual stories to the neighborhood!
