"RAGE" Exhibition Recap + Photos
RAGE was a multimedia three day long art exhibition hosted at The Bakery. RAGE showcased 40+ visual and performing artist. RAGE aimed to highlight the emotions that we are shamed for feeling based off our identities. We are often told that our anger is irrational, we are overly emotional, and taught from young age that the expression of our emotions will be used negatively against us. RAGE aimed to acknowledge, validate, and uplift the feelings we are told to suppress during these times where our bodily and human rights are being threatened.
RAGE also served as a fundraiser for The Center for Black Woman’s Wellness (@cbwwatlanta) and Trans Housing Coalition (@transhousingcoalition). We raised $250 for each of these organization collected physical hygiene and beauty products such as wigs, make-up, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, brushes, shampoo, toilet paper, and paper towels.
