The BeltLine Box Project: Bakie’s Dreamscape

The Bakery is a collective of creative thinkers aligned around the belief that art is pivotal to existence. We used the core aspects of The Bakery - experimentation, collaboration, and play to create Bakie’s Dreamscape for Art on the Atlanta Beltline. The goal of this piece is to share our DIY and lighthearted approach to art with the public. We believe art should be accessible, art is for everyone, and it is not always about the finished product, but about the process. Made of upcycled materials, we invite viewers to broaden their idea of the art world. Throughout our various projects and iterations, we keep community building at the core of what we do. We envision an Atlanta that supports the emerging, DIY, and underground arts as it grows, both locally and throughout the Southeast region.

Thank you to Art on The Atlanta Beltine and their Curator-In-Residence, Elisabeth Herrera-Very, for creating the BeltLine Box Project and inviting us to participate along with other community organizations. Talk a stroll on the Westside Beltline to see our box in person!

Bakie’s Dreamscape was collaboratively created by Bakery team members:

Olive Hagemeier, Amanda P Norris, and Willow H Goldstein.
