Sunprinting for Kids and Parents Workshop

  • The Supermarket 638 North Highland Avenue Northeast Atlanta, GA, 30306 United States (map)

Join us at The Supermarket for a fun and creative cyanotype workshop where kids and parents can explore the magical world of sun prints together! Cyanotype is a historic photographic printing process that uses sunlight to create beautiful blue and white images.

In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of cyanotype printing, experiment with their own objects to create unique compositions, and take home their own handmade sun prints. No prior experience is necessary - just a curiosity for art and a love for hands-on learning! All printing supplies will be provided, but we ask that parents and kids bring objects from home to make their composition. Examples of objects to bring are legos, kitchen utensils, flowers, dolls, favorite socks, marbles, jewelry, bottles, lonely socks, blocks, car toys, cut out of hands (or other fun shapes).

Suggested ages for this workshop are 4-10, but kids of all ages are welcome with parental supervision. Parents must stay with their kids for the entirety of the workshop.

*Please note: This class involves chemicals. Gloves for parents and kids will be provided.
