“For Now, Home Is”~ Gallery Hours

  • The Supermarket 638 North Highland Avenue Northeast Atlanta, GA, 30306 United States (map)

The Bakery Atlanta is proud to present group exhibition, For Now, Home Is, curated by Widha Gautam.

The show will be a reflection on cultural expectations and narratives around the concepts of home and the individual's exploration of identity, belonging, and displacement as informed by the topic. Artists examined their own relationship to the topic of home and its effects on their identity and the perception of place – whether challenging or unconventional or rooted in safety and security. The exhibition consists of first and second generation immigrants, transplants, and all who have struggled to reconcile traditional ideas surrounding home with their reality.

Please join us for the opening reception on Thursday, November 21st from 6 to 9 PM. Pay what you can tickets are $5 to $25. This exhibition will be on view to the public during gallery hours and additional programming. Please view calendar.
