Join Atlanta Synth Club Member, Bakery Hangaround and Georgia State University MFA'er Aaron Artrip as he provides a 3 day intensive workshop on how to begin and FINISH YOUR TRACKS! This workshop is geared towards those who already have a familiarity with Ableton Live, but all are welcome!
This series of workshops will be held on March 1st, 8th, and 22nd from 12p - 4p in the Board Room at The Bakery. A total of 12 hours of education for $175.
Workshops include:
- Navigating the Ableton LIVE user interface
- Creating your own loops
- Song Structure advice
- 1 on 1 mentoring from instructor
- Instructors personal (subjective) advice/philosophy on making electronic music
- Releasing the song at the end!
Requirements for workshop participation:
Minimum:
- A laptop
Recommended:
- A laptop with Ableton Live installed (lite, intro, standard, or suite) and a handheld recording device (your phone is perfect).
- Your preferred midi controller

Workshop Day 1, March 1:
Ableton Live Basic Navigation and Keyboard shortcuts
Creating loops/midi loops
Drum Racks
Audio vs. midi: Editing, composing, customizing
Browser Stuff
Workshop Day 2, March 8th:
Song Structure (genre)
Audio: Loops/stretching/repitching
Basic FX: Send/Return vs Insert, Vol Control/Panning
Arrangement: Basic Navigation, shortcuts, moving clips out of session view.

Automation
Presentation
Feedback, Exporting to MP3/WAV
