Join artist Lizette London for an intimate evening at The Bakery Atlanta's South Downtown Gallery on Friday, January 19th, 2024 at 8:00PM to celebrate the history and pioneers of Black women visual artistry.

This free event will feature a micro visual+literary arts gallery, an art history talk, and open audience discussion/dialogue. Throughout history, Black women have been and continue to be shapers of preeminent visual terrains. As optic vanguards, visual artists, and theorists, Black women have forged and imaged paths for us to imagine the past, present, and future anew. The current moment calls us to re/member the past as we collectively stride in the present towards liberated futures.
