The Bakery is proud to present the solo exhibition “In Tight Spaces” by local artist, Lois Songster (@eonhawk).

“In Tight Spaces” will represent Lois’ interest in confining and restricting both femme and animal figures into small constricting shapes. The work will explore the pressure society puts on women to perform gender and take up as little space as possible. It is both an artistic exploration of what happens to recognizable figures as they are put into boxes by those around them as well as a personal exploration of feeling both frustrated and safe by these constraints.

Expect food, drinks, beautiful art, a mini art market, and a temporary tattoo station. You aren’t going to want to miss this!
