Join Rose Library and Emory Visual Arts for Emory’s legendary Art, Punk, and DIY Fest, a night of music and hands-on art activities in celebration of the library’s Atlanta punk collection. It’s free and open to Emory students, Atlanta community members, and all who love art, punk, and DIY culture.
This year’s event features a live set by Ladrones, who hail from San Juan, Puerto Rico by way of Atlanta and play screaming, wailing garage punk ‘n’ roll. Art activities include silkscreening t-shirts with Emory Visual Arts, making buttons with Emory TechLab, creating punk sock puppets with The Bakery (see pics from last year at https://thebakeryatlanta.com/altgazeblog/emorydiy) and “skate bling” with Julie and Raymondo, as well as learning graffiti stylewriting with Antar Fierce and MadClout.
And for eats, Randy’s famous tower of free pizza returns!
