Build Your Own Lamp Workshop

  • The Supermarket 638 North Highland Avenue Northeast Atlanta, GA, 30306 United States (map)

In this 2-hour event we’ll provide the tools, materials, and instructions you’ll need to build your very own lamp! We’ll be building colored LED matrix lamps into a pre-built see-through shell just like the one pictured. We’ll have a selection of different LED colors and switches so you can design your own light arrangement and make your lamp unique. And because the shell is clear you can see the internal components and admire your handiwork after you’re done. We’ll also be discussing some of the electrical principals at play in this project so you might even learn something new!

This is a low-voltage project so no need to worry about shock risk. This is an all-ages event, but young kids should be able to handle pliers and wire-cutters! At the end of the day you’ll get to bring your lamp home to decorate your space. Everything is provided, just bring anything but yourself!

Directions:
The Supermarket does not have dedicated parking. There are several paid and free parking options nearby. The entrance is through the black door located to the left of Colette Bread and Bakeshop. This door has a plaque that reads "638 The Supermarket" - leading you down a hallway and down a staircase. Need an accessible entrance without stairs? We're happy to help! Email us and we'll show you the way ~ hello@thebakeryatlanta.com
