Cal Folger Day is an American songwriter based in Dublin, Ireland. Her verbatim pop-opera about Lady Gregory, The Woods and America, won the Little Gem award in Dublin Fringe. An hour-long documentary on the piece by RTÉ Lyric FM was nominated for the Prix Italia and Prix Europa awards (2019). A full-length live soundtrack recording was mixed by Forest Christenson (Dunkirk) and features Daniel Fox (Girl Band), Phil Christie (O Emperor, The Bonk), and Ailbhe Nic Oireachtaigh (Cian Nugent, Josephine Foster). She has supported Jeffrey Lewis, Angel Olson, Sean Nicholas Savage, St. Lenox, Sidney Gish, and the comedian Jena Friedman.

"Conjuring the syncopated, subtly bombastic alt-pop alchemy of artists like Field Music via mid-era Joni Mitchell, The Woods and Grandma is a typically tangential and contagious effort from Day (and friends)" (The Thin Air).

"A guitarist and chanteuse with jazz leanings, whose vocal control and stage presence command attention" (The New Yorker).

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Benjamin Shepherd spent his early years in the world of bar bands and country music. After moving to Richmond, Virginia at 18, he began composing original songs inspired largely by late 90's Pacific NW indie rock and classic rock 'n' roll records. A few years later, having discovered an affinity for the folk revival of the 60's and contemporary singer-songwriters, he moved to New York City to perform solo and found the Antifolk scene in the East Village where he began to develop his lyrically-focused songwriting style.

Having lived between Richmond and New York and traveling the country in the last decade, beginning and ending with various other bands along the way, Shepherd recorded "Eleven For The Road," a live solo performance captured at Montrose Recording in 2014 that would become his first studio LP. He's since recorded a new album of full band arrangements titled "Hold the Line" with the help of Kevin Guild (Southside Stranglers, Diamond Hairbrush), Tyler Williams (The Head And The Heart), Charlie Glenn (The Trillions, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down), and Adrian Olsen (Spacebomb Studios, Avers) which is out now.

"Benjamin Shepherd brings a folky touch to his songs, but he's not without some side trips into drug-fueled weirdness. On [Hold the Line], Shepherd's introspective take on Americana-influenced rock n' roll is distinctive and memorable." RVA Mag
