Let Black Fxlk Be is a collection of diverse works that vulnerably display black love, friendship, community and identity from those who create the spaces they seek. The series examines the sincerity and familiarity found within an often othered black community — an otherness that is acceptable due to vulnerability but stoic through the blackness it embodies.

In this series of work local queer artists, Chiomma Hall, The Color Cienna, Talecia Tucker and more, seek to create vulnerable representations of blackness through an unavoidable platform through various mediums, such as watercolor paintings, illustration, and film photography.

Each work presented acts as a vessel into the experience, personhood and growth of each individual artist as they reflect on queerness within the South. In viewing these works, we ask viewers to share a moment of community moving into the new year. Select prints will be available for purchase at both the opening and closing receptions.

Most of our event spaces are readily accessible and all can be made so. A primary venue entrance is via a ramp and we have an accessible restroom.
