Drum Machines 101: ASC at The Bakery

Learn the basics of how to use electronic drum machines with ASC member Aaron Artrip (Pinkerton + Stinkynoiseman) at The Bakery Atlanta!

This presentation introduces you to the foundations of beat making with using various low cost and entry level machine options, including the Korg Volca Beats + Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator 12 🔌⚡

+ Time ~ Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 2 to 4pm
+ Location ~ The Bakery Atlanta
+ Cost ~ $5 suggested donation at the door (50/50 split between ASC and synth programming at The Bakery)
+ Bring a pair of 1/8” (3.5 mm) headphones for anyone who wants to test run any of them!

✏ Aaron will present on the basics of drum machine programming an pattern execution with the idea that these machines can be used as both a standalone and accompanying instrument.

✏ Most concepts and techniques present will be applicable to almost any other drum machine ~ be they analog, digital, hardware, or software.

✏ This is intended for beginners who have never used a drum machine before, or for musicians who have an interest in incorporating rhythm into their musical tool set!!
