⭐️ 🎨 ARTWORK ⭐️✨

-- Living Melody Collective and Liliana Bakhtiari Art Bus Mural for Voter Engagement! This effort is a continuation of Bakhtiari’s platform of commitment to community, accessibility, and equality for all humans. In response to voter machine concerns and voter suppression tactics like recent events in Randolph County, Living Melody Collective will draw inspiration from the history of voting rights and the changes in voting systems in Georgia. Bakhtiari and Living Melody Collective will be crowdfunding this mural through Indiegogo and painting it during the month of September in time for voter engagement running up to the upcoming midterm elections.

For Living Melody Collective, this piece will be a natural expansion of their mission to create beautiful artistic disruptions for social justice and community-centric art. This mural comes off the heels of a 32’ mural for the Center for Civil and Human rights that addressed Dr. King's late work with homelessness and exclusivity filtered through the scope of the current housing crisis in Atlanta. They were featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for that installation. This partnership with Liliana Bakhtiari is a collaborative civic engagement through art. For the artists, this is not just a static mural but a conversation on the importance of voting, that we believe in, are actively engaging and want to have.

We have the power to fight back against institutions and systems that are not working for us. When we vote, we choose what works best for our communities. When we vote, we build a more equitable and sustainable society and the world. When we vote, they LISTEN.
